Is my dog tracked by GPS?
No. QRfound shows no live location. The finder states the place where they see the animal.

A QR code pet tag
A dog or cat leaves the garden. A classic tag shows your phone number, or there is no tag at all. A QRfound tag on the collar or harness gives a finder a way to reach you without writing your home onto the street.
Place found, not your home address
The page shows no house and no number. The finder enters where the animal is and how you can reach them. The message arrives by email. You call back and agree the handover.
This is not tracking. QRfound does not know where the animal moves. It helps at the moment a person can scan the code.
Tough enough for a collar
Print the code small and laminate it, or use a firm tag that holds the sticker. Rain ruins loose paper. A pet icon on the page makes clear this is not a set of keys.
Create one item per animal. Each tag stays linked to one pet, and the reports land in the same account.
Finders without an app
Walkers, neighbours, a clinic or a shelter scan with the normal camera. Nobody has to know QRfound or register. Consent to storage sits on the form before anything is sent.
Without mobile internet the report is not sent. People send it once they have a connection again.
Cost
The first 3 items are free. An extra pack contains 10 items for 5.00 € and lasts 1 year. One tag for one animal fits in the free allowance. QRfound does not replace a vet register or an official database.

No. Your address is neither on the tag nor on the found page.
What if the animal wears no collar?
Without a code on the animal, nobody can scan. The tag belongs on the collar or harness, where it can be seen.
